Ever had the feeling of being a target?

I was off to a good start today, with making out the house in hot pursuit of taking a stroll in part of my old nieghborhood. I was in search for a UPS Store to return a supposedly defective ClearWire modem; it was boxed, taped with a valid UPS label ready for the next day express shipping.

Well I found out that there was a UPS Store somewhere in the U-Village; so I planned to start my walk from the 45th street, I'5 highway exist bus stop through the backside of the district to get to Ravenna Park, which has this backside ecological friendly, ravine dirt trail that runs along a natural creek; which covers the ravine's entirety. The dirt trail ends and opens up into a newly upgraded softball field kitty corner Ravenna Blvd. and 25th.  Let me tell you that I enjoyed this walk from 45th street to 25th street because it brought back memories when I use to go running on this dirt trail a lot aside from the burke gilman trail.  This was while I was still leaving in the U-District, before moving further northern districts like SandPoint and now in Bothell, WA. I've been an on and off resident in the U-District since the mid-90's and always enjoyed the part of Ravenna Boulevard adjacent its park, and as it continues on eventually leading to Green Lake.

Well, things were working out pretty good up until I got the U-Village and just 50 yards from the UPS Store. I was strutting and feeling good about my long hike thus far from the 45th, I'5 highway exist bus stop, especially being impressed with the major upgrades made to the softball fields, on the bottom side of Ravenna park, where the dirt trail ends or starts. I do try to avoid foot traffic or vehicle traffic as much as possible when I plan to go on a long walk, hike or run somewhere, just because of it being an unpredictable circumstance beyond my control they may reduce the enjoyment of my hike/walk. Which is what unfortunately occurred;

There was a sudden disruption to my strut because a driver in a SUV decided to cut me off while in the parking lot pedestrian lane at the top of a staircase leading to the UPS Store. He dove or drove immediately for the first lot spot just adjacent at the top of the stairwell right at the time I reached the top of staircase, even if though were other open parking slots available for him. Well my back pack ended up brushing up against that backside of his SUV as he dove past me; Had he waited for me to make it past his car being that I was in the pedestrian lane with the right of way to cross, his car would have not came in contact with my jacket or back pack.

The incident tore him from his driver's seat, that instigated yelling match full of obscenities and accusations between us both. With me arguing my point that I had the right of way while in the pedestrian lane, not to mention that he prematurely crossed over his own parking space lines causing him react, maneuver and straighten his SUV this parking spot, he deliberately wanted to cross me. Well during this face off confrontation, I had been smacked with a good amount of gross saliva, because every obscenity that came out his loud stink mouth wasn't without spit being flinged directly my way. It rapidly became apparent that we were getting no where, due to him not listening to any part of my pedestrian lane argument, nor me his. So I just said "I've got better things to do, than to waste anymore time with you and finally started to make my final approach toward the UPS Store. After a couple cars length away he yells out at me, "you coward!" It made me realize that this face off spit match wasn't enough for him; So I turned around stood still with my arms wide open for one final check waving him on to rush me; he proceeded to do so than stopped suddenly and screamed out, "you throw the first punch!"  It was obvious now that this dispute was now completely over, because he certainly wanted to have the pleasure of telling a circuit judge, that "I threw the first punch".... THAT KNOCKED HIM OUT!, (just joking). Anyway I finally made it the UPS Store to make the drop and confirm it with a receipt, and than to the burke gilman like I intended to visit my favorite bus stop on the UW Campus, never to look back at that spit mouth ever again.

But this is what a life of being a TARGET, Coded: Spiedon 24-7-365 brings, jerks that enjoy bursting my bubble. For a person like me to achieve something that makes me feeling good with successful backside walk/hike through the U-District, only to have someone like him ruin it, with a premeditated act to deliberately cross me, it should be expected.  It wouldn't surprise me that he was an undercover agent or cop, that was very good at tracking me up to that point, with the malicious intentions in ruining my sense of achievement.

I mean I had this walk/hike planned out in my mind before leaving Bothell, and it was suppose continue on while I traveled on the burke gilman trail once I was done with the UPS Store, to reminisce traveling to my favorite bus stop on the UW campus.  Than get rolling back to the city of Bothell riding on the Route# 372 Woodenville Express, which was a rarity for me. I mean all this walking/hiking was supposedly be part of my conditioning program, to off set my indoor weight training done most of the week.

In the future, I'll just side step a vehicle that is on a direct path to run me over next time, or maybe take another destination route to avoid those others that wants to just cross me for kicks.  It's nothing new to me that there are real life FED agents, or undercover cops out there monitoring and tracking me everywhere I go; waiting for their prime time moment to apprehend me for something as little as a cross walk violation.  I been unfortunate to have reached an overexposed level that is of the same as any NW pine tree, or any cloud that formulates in the sky; making me vulnerable or an easy target for any or all of them ready to cross me.

God forgive me, be near, guide and protect me, for I've just awaken the Beast!

Most Sincere,
